Thinned the mixture with a little half n half, added some splenda and made a waffle. Came out great. 2 extra carbs for the half n half. I topped it with my own LC strawberry topping.

Yes , I noticed the bottles too. That’s good you support her no diet approach but she should be wiser about aspartame. I am on my way to the store to get some flax … Can’t hardly wait to make the bread and will let you know how was it the minute I bite into it :)

It’s so good to make a sandwich with. half the recipe wouldn’t be enough to cut in half for a bun, though. I really like the taste and texture of it.

I am going to try the EggMcBowolfw/bacon & cheese Muffin in the morning for breakfast …..cannot wait!

Remember it is 2 servings, and I sometimes only have even a half of that. It is a lot of fiber to have at one time, so yes, I can definitely see where you might get a little stomach problems if you are unused to it.

oh wow that looks really great, but does it have any carbs? I know that flax is mostly fiber. So I guess my question is how many carbs for that servering?
    Thanks

Has anyone experienced any gastric upset with this recipe? I love it but maybe it was too much fiber at once for me. Am going to try to build up my flaxmeal intake slowly to adjust. A very good bread, Bowulf – thank you!

  11. bowulf says:

I’ll have to try the garlic and onion idea next time I am making Italian. Perhaps dusted with Parmesan and toasted in oven, it would make decent breadsticks… Thanks for the ideas.

  12. pvonelsner says:

I divide the mixture into two identical cereal bowls to make 2 thin slices. I’ve added different ingredients like garlic and onions with olive oil in place of the butter when I want to make a a savory sandwich. Splenda and cinnamon for peanut butter. Keep up the good work. You are a help to us all.
PS they fry up very well too.

  13. pvonelsner says:

Awesome! You dont have to be low carbing it to enjoy this.

  14. bowulf says:

You could double or triple it and then put it muffin tins for 8-10 minutes at 350.

I am anti- any trick diet or diet that doesn’t work long term for people seeking to lose weight. To me trying to have 6 on 1 off strategy would just prolong the cravings, and make the 6 days seem like torture. Plus your body will be going through Induction flu symptoms EVERY week.

I am in favor of resistance training, but speed into ketosis is the same for cardio vs. resistance both are burning glycogen. That said, I would prefer getting eating right and then adding exercise later.

  24. bowulf says:

Yes, all ingredients are induction legal.

  25. sistahonamission says:

Hello, thanks for sharing the recipe. I am starting low carbing today. Can I eat this during the induction period? Thank!
